I was watching this video that pretty much sums up every Michael Bay Video in existence, and I got to thinking, doesn Green Lantern follow this exact line of thinking? I mean honestly, if Michael Bay had made Green Lantern instead of Transformers, both movies would have been much better. We have a young Male Protagonist in Hal Jordan, the Earth is threatened by Paralax, and we have the hot female actress in Carol Farris. That's a perfect set up for a Michael Bay movie.
Later down the line, the Military gets in evolved, namely the Green Lantern Corp. Sure they are more like a police force, but they do come across as a military orginization, determines to save the Universe.
The Love scene that could have been between Hal and Carol could have worked out. It could have even set up Carol Farris to become Star Sapphire.
And we all know how much Bay loves special effects and CGI. He would have had a field day with the Lantern rings and constructs they all make.
In all I think the Green Lantern movie would have been great for Michael Bay, and would have make money with his name attached to it. So why does he keep ass raping my childhood with these horrid Transformers movies that aren't about the Transformers?

I have noticed a trend in movies this year. Every week 2 movies have come out at the same time, and usually it is a childrens movie, like Judy Moody, or Mr Popper's Penguins, and a more adult Movie like Super 8 and Green Lantern. But this week marks the second real family movie of the Summer. The first was Kung Fu Panda 2, and today was the release of Cars 2.
The Plot is a very simple spy movie plot where an evil organization has a plan to make lots of money from the world's largest oil reserve which was discovered in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. One British Agent gets killed and in comes Finn McMissle, played very well my Michael Caine. After a great action car chase sequence very similar to a James Bond car chase, we return to Radiator Springs where Lightning McQueen, reprised by Owen Wilson comes back to relax after a long season and winning 4 Piston Cups. There is then a sequence where McQueen and his friend Mater, reprised once more by Larry the Cable Guy, hang out and have fun. After a hard day of havign Fun, McQueen just wants to relax and have a nice quiet dinner with His Girlfriend Sally, reprised by the lovely Bonnie Hunt. During the dinner we find out about a race being help by former oil baron Sir Miles Axelrod, played to great effect by Eddie Izzard. The Race is being discussed on a call in talkshow simmilar to Larry King. We are also introduced to Francesco Bernoulli, played by John Turturro, who you might know better as Agent Simmons from the Transformers movies. After talking smack about McQueen, Mater calls into the show to defend his friend, and because of this McQueen decides to enter the race, and he brings his pit crew friends with him.
So not we cut to Mater and McQueen in Tokyo, and we get to watch the culture shock as Mater doesn't really adjust to the new country to great comedic effect. Of course he embarassed his friends, but he doesn't seem to notice. Well a real US secret agent is to pass off some info to McMissle, but sadly some of the bad guys, a Pacer and a Gremlin, who were on the oil rig were there so McMissle sends a young Technician agent to get the info. Enter Holly Shiftwell, played by Emily Mortimer. Well the American agent passes his info and homing signal off to Mater, so Holly of course mistakens Mater for the Agent.
Now the plot shifts to a very Spies Like Us type story where they think Mater is a secret agent. A plot is then uncovered that puts all the people in the auto race in trouble, so Mater continues to play on in order to try and protect his friend McQueen. I'll stop here so I don't ruin the whole plot.
Now here is why I say this is now a family film should be made. I had to stand in line for this movie, and the line was mostly filled with parents with their little ones. During the previews the kids were all talking, and of course they were confused my the Spy Kids 4D thing. But when the movie started, the kids were quiet. It kept their attention and it didn't have to cut to a different scene every 30 seconds and feel so ADHD like most kids movies these days feel they have to be. It was a movie that kept both adults and children entertained. It is sad how Hollywood has fallen into the trap that to entertain kids they have to aim for the lowest common denominator.

Current Music: GLaDOS - Still Alive
I was listening to both the closing themes or the two Portal games this morning and it got me thinking, why is there no cake in Portal 2. But the better question is, why was there Cake in Portal 1? This is what I have come up with.
In Portal 1, it can be assumed that the Computer Aided Enrichment center is in it's early days of being empty. GLaDOS still has the suppression spheres on her, and she is still basically following her programing of testing. Now comes why the cake. The Aperture Science Computer Aided Enrichment Center was a lab maze, and of course as the test subject, you need motivation. Now in a normal lab maze run by rats, there is a reward, usually food, at the end. So what kind of food do you put at the end of a Maze for a person. For most people, at least it was like this for me, my mother would let me have some cake as a reward for doing a good job on something. I believe either the scientists thought this would be a good motivator and put it in the GLaDOS programing, or the GLaDOS AI came up with the idea herself.
Now then, in Portal 2 there is not one mention of Cake, and why is that? Well the most obvoius way to explain this is by listening to the two songs. GLaDOS in the first game, and in the first song, comes across as a very quiet subdued person. Trickery and deception are her main tools. In the second game, GLaDOS is free to think for herself, no more suppression spheres feeding her with constant bad ideas. She is much more confident and vicious now, she is now relying on your own survival instincts to modivate you through the tests. And since you are so self motivated, there is no more need for cake. The Cake has been replaced by your own desire for freedom and survival.
Well that's my view on the matter, if you have your own thoughts, feel free to share them.

I went to see Tangled today, and it was just as good as I had hoped it would be. If you sisn't know, Tangled if based on the story of Repunzel, but with a few changes. In the original story, the couple who bore the child Repunzel were just two normal people. The mom wanted these special herbs from a Witch's Garden. The Witch catches the dad and let's him have all the herb he wants so long as they give her the baby they have. Then a prince finds her in the tower and we know the rest.
In this one there is a Flower that grows from a drop of the sun. This flower has magical healing powers, and can keep you young. A old woman finds the flower and hides it. She used the power of the flower and kept it to herself for over 100 years. After 100 years, the queen of a nearby Kingdom becomes very ill during her pregnancy, and because of this, everyone in the kingdom goes out to find this legendary flower. The lady whoWas using the flower to stay young tried to hide the flower but screwed it up and and the Guards found it. They took the flower, bioled it into medecine and the Queen drank it, which made her get better. They then had a girl with beautiful blonde hair. It turns out this Blonde hair had the magic of the flower in it, but lost that power if it was Cut. Th eold lady discovered these facts and took the girl to use this power to keep her young.
I like this premise and the rest of the plot. I won't spoil the rest of the film, but this was a beautifully animated and the 3D is actually quite nice. The characters are quite well developed and eachhave their own unique personalities, even the ones without speaking parts.
In all I highly recomend this movie to everyone.

I wrote an e-mail to the Ultmate Warrior a while back which said this.
I started to watch the WWE video that someone posted on the internet, and I learned some interesting things. I learned that my two favorite wrestlers from the 80's and 90's, being yourself and your former tag team partner Sting, started out together. I can honestly say that for the longest time, Sting and you both seemed to follow the same, which is why I liked him as well. Neither of you let anyone dictate your path, you stood on your own beliefs and own power. This is what I loved about you and sting before he fell off the path and went with the full face paint and the darker look.
In all honesty, the "Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" could have been the best to happen to you, because it let you walk away before the business beat you down to the point where Hogan ended up. I can honestly respect your decision to leave wrestling and going on to bigger and better things was the right decision, and I just wish others in the industry would do the same, instead of tearing themselves apart in the ring for peanuts.
I am glad to hear you are happily married and that your kids aren't going to follow in their dad's footsteps and go into the wrestling business. All in all, your live outside the ring and your persona inside the ring are totally different, and I think looking at your in ring persona, and I hate to bring up the comic as well, that is the only part of the picture that people look at.
Thank you for listening, and Always Believe,
I will be the first to admit, I didn't expect to get a reply back from him. I then lost internet access for 2 weeks, and going through my e-mail, I found a reply from Mr, Warrior.
Bryan, hello. Thanks for taking the time to write and comment.
The DVD was not the reason I walked away from the business. I was already out of the business, by my own choice, before the DVD was produced. For many reasons, long before the DVD came out, I was already of mind and character to realize that continuing in the business was not going to inspire me anymore. And the DVD was made out of spite for the fact that I did decide to move on in my life and leave the business behind, not depend on it or ask anything more from it. Independence and integrity like that are despised.
You are right about one thing. If you succeed in an one-of-a-kind way, it is certain that you will be most known and remembered for doing that thing, and, for some weird reason, others will believe you are not capable of doing anything else. It's been an interesting life lesson to learn. I've never thought, of myself or others, that I could only do one thing or not do many other things. My justification has always been simple. I am human being and I have a mind and the power to choose.
I am happy and productive because I work at being happy and productive. I take nothing for granted and success in life does not fall from the sky.
Now considering he is a former Celebrity, I am amazed that he actually does sit down and read his email and he actually responded to me. I just felt like sharign this with everyone, if they wanted to read it.

For those of you who do not know by now, I have moved to Maryland to be with the woman I love, maikujaku
. But lately I feel like I am doing more harm than good up here. For starters she blamed me for all her friends leaving her, that I was somehow drivign them away, and now in our current living situation, she has friends that coem over, as well as our other roomate's friends, and they seem to leave me out of everything, yet I am expected to do the dishes and clean the cat box for cats they don't even belong to either of us. Now I don't want to leave, espically since I just got a new job with Pep Boys, but I just feel so left out of most things lately, even Second Life. I can't get on because she stays on whenever I come home from work, and on my days off she spends all day on the computer so I can just barely get on to check my e-mail and web comics. I know she has a busy internet life, but she seems more intrested in being online than spendign any time with me.
Well, I just needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for readign this little rant of mine.

Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to at least 15 people and include me. You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "my life according to (band name)"
