My life according to...

Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to at least 15 people and include me. You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "my life according to (band name)"

Pick your Artist: Pink Floyd

Describe yourself: Brain Damage

How do you feel: Comfortably Numb

Describe where you currently live: Empty Spaces

If you could go anywhere, where would you go:The Grand Vizier's Garden Party - Entrance

Your best friend is: Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict

What's the weather like: Fat Old Sun

Favorite time of day: Time

If your life was a TV show, what would it be called: Young Lust

What is life to you: A Saucerful Of Secrets

Your fear: Pigs on the Wing (Part One)

What is the best advice you have to give: Careful With That Axe, Eugene

Thought for the Day: Money

How I would like to die: Goodbye Cruel World

My soul's present condition: In The Flesh

My Motto: Run Like Hell

Wish: The Happiest Days Of Our Lives

Big Blue Penis!!!!!

I went to see Watchmen yesterday, and it was actually very good. They didn't skimp on the blood, violence, sex or all the big blue penis you could handle. Yes, Dr. Manhattan is nude throughout 95% of his screen time, and they did now waste any chance to show off that big blue penis. If you are a fan of the book, you will still enjoy the movie, but you may not like the way the movie worked around the giant mutant alien telepathic squid. If you haven't read it, then you will have no idea what I am talking about and the movie will be just fine. I really can recommend this movie, but if you are offended by a big blue penis, this is not the movie for you, in fact there is a scene with 4 big blue penises.

I Left a comment on a video yesterday, about subliminal messages in cartoons. I received this as a reply in my mail.

look if you wanted to realize this first you needed to watch it. However Since I got the message first you didn't have a chance so you have to make lies and retard comments silentpaw. Next time use your fat brain your *LITTLE FUCKER!!!!*

http://www.youtube.com/user/sexyfiredemon This is the user page for the little preteen conservative hate monger. I swear, where do these morons come from. This guy is going to grow up seeing Sex in dust clouds during the Lion King, and Dildos in Coral formations, and an inapproptiate homosexual relationship in the Fox and the Hound.

<lj-embed id="26" />

Do you hear what the moron hears?

2009, the year in preview.

Well, with 2008 gone we have a whole new year to look forward to. I am hoping to accomplish a few things:

1. I will be going to school to get my Microsoft certs, that will take 6 months.
2. I hope to get a decent paying IT Job either here or if I must move, so be it
3. I hope to be able to attend Anthrocon again this year, though right now the outlook is not so good.
4. I hope to be able to afford to move out of my parent's place and finally get out on my own.

These four things are what I hope o get out of next year. Wish me luck.

The thing I fear will happen.

My mother brought this up to me this morning, and the resemblance is uncanny. But what I fear is that history will repeat itself. Yes I do foresee an assassination attempt on our next president, and I think this is a genuine concern. Hear is how I see it happening, and you can call my crazy for thinking like this, but I think it's a legitimate fear.

Our new president is a black man, and because of this several groups will be upset, the KKK, the Neo Nazi, but these groups are not the one's I am worried about. I'm afraid the assassin will be some black radical who is thinking right now "It's about time, now WE have the power." Then he will go in for a job, or something will happen to him and he will think, "Wait, Obama is president, that means the Black Man is in charge, but nothing has changed for me. Obama sold out!" I can see this coming, just as it was with Lincoln. Lincoln was from a state that relied on slavery and yet he turned his back on these people when he freed the slaves. Lincoln was a sell out in the minds of those who had him killed. I can see this happening to Obama, and within 2 years there will be an attempt on his life.

Now, I know most of you think this may sound like sour grapes, but to be honest I didn't want McCain in office either. But this is not about that anymore, Obama is going to be president, and I'm worried a bullet will make Joe Biden our next president, and that's even scarier to me.

Well folks, I am off to vote. All I can say is thank God it is almost over. I can't wait for all the mud slinging to be over and done with. As for who I am voting for, I am leaning toward McCain and Pailen, mainly because I don't want my utility bills to rise because of Obama putting coal power plants out of business. I also don't feel safe with a president who needs a socialist nut job to validate him as a world leader. Also, I prefer a president with enough backbone to walk away from some ass hat preacher when he knows the guy is bad news.

My life sucks

I'm afraid I am being thrown out of the apprenticeship program I am in because of my last termination. I want to go back to school to get my IT certs, but I can't get approved for the credit, my parents tried to cosign, but that didn't work. My aunt flat out refuses to help me afraid they won't help me get a job and she will get stuck with a 28,500 debt. So now I am out of a job, out of options to start this new school, and apparently out of luck. It's times like this I really think I should just end it all and become a homeless bum on the streets. I could more than likely make more asking for handouts on the street than at a real job. I'd never try and kill myself, that's the cowards way out, but what do you do when life hands you lemons with high explosives inside?

Furries vs Klingons II: The Wrath of Cute

This year wasn't nearly as big as last year. No media came out this time, and with the current gas shortage here in Atlanta, not as many people came out. The event wasn't as well planned as we had hoped either, but we all had fun. Seems more trekkies came this time and we had more Klingons than last year too. Not as many fur suits though, but it was still fun. We did have a few surprises show up, like a guy dressed in steam punk fashion, and a few members of Star Gate Atlanta. This time though, we didn't bowl like last year. The teams were mixed and it was based on who had the highest score. The best score was from a Klingon who had been practicing since last year since he missed it. I think things would have been much bigger if the area wasn't nearly out of fuel forcing many to stay home. Hopefully, next year we will finally get the 501st to show up, as well as some Pirates and ninjas.

Sometimes, I think I was born lucky...

After reading what towyncoyote wrote about his father (you can read it here ) I feel I must be the luckiest furry in the world. For one, my mom and dad are still married, and they both love me very much. They have never abused me like some furs, and they never tried to use me for their own gain. I've tried striking out on my own, but whenever things got bad, I am always welcomed back home. It's hard for me to imagine any parent doing anything to take advantage of their child, like in the above. That is the act of a genetic material downer not a parent. I will admit, I have had the occasional rough spot in my life but in hind sight, and looking back at some of the things that happen here on LJ, my life has been pretty good really. My parents accept the fact that I am furry, even after they saw the CSI episode. They trust my judgment enough to know I would never get into something weird like that ( not saying I wouldn't, but... ). They let me live my own life, and when I fail they help me back up. The only complaint I can honestly say I have is that my parent's care too much. If that is my only problem, I think I have it pretty good.

My Dragon*Con Post

I should have done this almost a week ago. Well now i have time. Dragon*Con was as usual the biggest party the city has seen since the last one. I only went for 2 days, but I had an amazing time. I also got to meet a few fellow furries and got to find out who my fan girl is. I won't name names here as to who she is in case she doesn't want it to be made public.

Saturday was mostly spent waiting n line to register, so I spent a good bit looking around the 3 hotels the con is held in. I was really looking forward to the Voltaire concert to be held at the concourse stage that evening, but the show was canceled after his first Song. Seems he was declared a fire hazard, so the show was canceled and moved for Sunday. Later I went over and joined in with the Vampire LARP. I enjoy that kind of thing because I love being the actor I really am.

Sunday came, and I had a mission for that morning. I got up early and jumped in near the front of the line for the Walk of Fame. The Cheerleader from Heroes, Hayden Leslie Panettiere was there, so I had her autograph Heroes: Season 2 for my brother. He is a big fan of the series. I also got George Tekai, who played Hiro's Dad to sign it as well. That was the most important thing I could get done while there. My brother is in Korea, teaching Kindergarten kids English and other things. The rest of the day was spent hanging out with several people I met at the con, most of them Furries, then I was off to catch the rescheduled and relocated Fire hazard, I mean Voltaire show. The place was about half full and this was a huge room. I was near the front, so when he got on stage most of the front charged the stage and stood at the foot of the stage. He played several songs from his new album "To The Bottom Of The Sea" (which I got an autographed copy for myself and maikujaku ) There is also a Birthday song on their. I was brave enough to tell him it was my Birthday what Wednesday, so he dedicated the song to myself and a few others in the room who also had birthday that week, and he even put my name in the song. I was really flattered, and that had to be the highlight of my weekend. I would have gone back for the second night of the Vampire LARP, but I had to head home so I could help with something happening on Monday, and I couldn't find my character sheet.

Al in all, I had Uber fun! The only other cons I had more fun at was megaplex and anthrocon, but this was a different kind of fun. This is the kind of fun you can only get when every fandom is tossed into one big area and allowed to go crazy for the weekend. I mean I saw Captain Jack in a Slave Leia outfit, (And yes it was a girl, doing Jack not a guy). Where else but at this kind of con can you see such a thing.

Sometimes I wonder...

Why do I even have this LJ account? I rarely write in it, and when I do it is usually something silly, some kind of Meme, or some Emo post like my last one. I sometimes wonder why I even keep writing in this thing, but then I look at my friend's list. I am actually surprised at how many out there have actually friended me, even a few from Russia and other Slavic nations. I then wonder if anyone really reads my posts, and every now and then people will reply to a post, usually friends I made on pawpet or fursuit communities, and I will rarely get a reply from someone I didn't even know was reading my LJ. But I have another question for myself, one only I can answer. Why don't I write in my journal every day? I guess the only answer to that one is I am too lazy to do it, or I think my everyday life is just too dull to write about. Would you all like for me to write about my everyday life sometime? If you have an opinion, make it known. If you don't and think I can't make a statement stand out if I had Viagra in my pen, then that's OK too.

Leaving on a jet plane...

Right now, my little brother should be getting comfortable in his seat as he prepares to fly off the South Korea to start a new job as an English teacher over there. My family and I took him to the airport and waited there for a few hours before he had no choice and had to go to the gate. And I haven't stopped crying since he left. And all this time one song has been passing through my mind.

<lj-embed id="23" />

I can't believe that seeing my brother leave like this hurts so much. I miss him so much already and he just left. I wonder if it was like this for him when I went off to join the Navy. I know this is a good thing for him and I know he will be OK out there, but I really am going to miss him. Hopefully this pain will go away soon. I will be going to Dragon*Con next weekend, and I will be getting him an autograph from the Cheerleader from Heroes, one of his favorite shows. , wow, looking at the time now, his plane just took off. God speed my brother, and I hope to hear from you in 14 or so hours.

Wall-E and other movies that made me cry

I went to see Wall-E today with my family, and I will admit, it made me cry. I will admit, there are very few movies that have actually drawn me in story wise deep enough that I actually cried. The list is actually very short, Sweeny Todd, and Wall-E. Yes, I did cry when I saw the first Hulk but that was because it was so terrible I felt I wasted my money to see it. To draw me into a movie with the story enough that I actually forget these are actors, or in this case Animated characters, and not real people is an amazing feat for me. The simple love story of Wall-E was deep enough that it made me truly feel for Wall-E and EVE. It was such a well told story and the frightening thing is I can see humanity ending up like this if we don't shape up and start cleaning up this planet now. I very much recommend this movie to anyone who love a great love story with a happy ending.

Hulk vs The Incredible Hulk (Also a bit of a spoiler rant at the end)

Ok, I just got back from seeing The Incredible Hulk and I must say, they kept all the good things from the first one and threw out all the suck.To understand what I mean, lets go back about 5 years to the last movie. In the last movie, they had Eric Bana playing Bruce Banner. Now to be honest I felt he was all wrong for the part. He is actually pretty large and muscular to begin with and to be totally honest, Bruce Banner was a pencil neck geek who needed help pushing his pencils. Banner was suppose to be the unassuming normal guy and Eric was not that guy. If I were to use Eric Bana in another Marvel Movie, he would make a better Captain America than Hulk. Second thing they got wrong was using both Sam Elliot and Nick Nolte in this movie as General Ross and David Banner. Now you don't want actors like this in the roles they were playing, they were suppose to play supporting roles to the Hulk, but they ended up stealing the spotlight too often. Third, and maybe the biggest disappointment in the first Hulk film was The Hulk himself. First, they made him too green, I know that sounds dumb, but they went overboard when they colored him. Second, they put him in purple Spandex!!! The Hulk always wore torn jeans, not PURPLE SPANDEX!!! Third, they made the Hulk way too big. I mean he looked like he was 20 feet tall and about as wide. The Hulk was never really that huge to be honest. And finally, the director, Ang Lee, felt no one else could get his vision across so he played the role of the CGI hulk himself for the motion capture stuff. Oh, I almost forgot the freakin' messed up origin where his Bruce became a lab rat for his dad's experiments which is what turned him in to the Hulk.

OK, now lets focus on the actual GOOD Hulk movie. Right off the bat they retell the origin story in the credits. It is almost right out of the old TV series pilot, down to the little chair thing and the green cross hairs. So that's pretty cool, they get the origin straightened and basically apologize for the first movie in the first 5 minutes. After that we go ahead 5 years, which is how long it has been since the last movie, nifty huh? We find Bruce Banner, played by Edward Norton, who looks much better in the role to be honest, living in Brazil, working at a bottling plant and trying to find a cure in the jungle. Now at the end of the last movie we see him escaping into the Amazon rain forest, so they at least kept that part. Things are going well until he accidentally cuts himself at the plant a blood drop falls among the bottles. He panics, for obvious reasons and has the line shut down. Mind you the guy who runs the plant doesn't argue with him, i mean what if he has AIDS or something and his blood infected someone. Well, the blood doesn't seem to get on a bottle and everything is fine, until we see the bottle that was contaminated.

This is where the story really begins to crank up because this bottle is sent to the US where Stan Lee buys it and drinks the gamma blood tainted drink. This sets off a flag and General Ross, played by William Hurt, is once more on Banner's trail. I'll stop with the story there, but there are a few more things I want to point out. This movie actually has a Hulk villain, mind you his origin is a bit screwy, but at least the Abomination can stand toe to toe with Hulk. They also make another Hulk villain if you pay attention and know the Hulk storyline. They create The Leader. Mind you they don't show his full creation, but ti could lead to an actual sequel. They also introduce Doc Samson, who plays a bigger role down the line, but it is a neat little added extra. Another thing that was cool, they bring back Lou Ferrigno, not just as a cameo with a speaking part this time, but as the actual voice of the Hulk. Yes they gave Hulk a few speaking lines this time, and not something stupid like in the old one.

Honestly, I can suggest this movie, it's a good film in all until....

OK, the ending really pissed me off, and here is why. I heard a humor that they were editing something in The Incredible Hulk a few month before it was to be released. Now when I heard this, I was wondering, what could they be editing this late in the game. Well true believers, sorry had to say it, it was because of fan's and the hate mail they got about Iron Man. Now if you saw Iron Man and stayed through to the end like any good movie geek like me would, you saw the scene at the end where Nick Fury came to Stark about the Avenger's Initiative. Now this is all well and good, it gave people a good ending and the movie geeks at spoiler. But people complained that it was after the credits and no one sat through the credits to see this part of the film. They got enough complaints they redid the ending of the Incredible Hulk! Now the ending shows Bruce meditating in a cabin in Canada, and we think i is to help him stay calm, but he is actually inducing a Hulk Episode. From here we should have gone straight to the credits, right? WRONG!!!!! Since all these whiny little pricks complained that they had to sit through the credits to see the Nick Fury scene in Iron Man, they edited the credits so that the scene that was suppose to beat the end, where General Ross is drinking his sorrows away and Tony joins him to tell him about a new team he is working on, was stuck right after banner's eyes turn green. It was like starting a fire then going to throw gas on it to make it all explodey and cool, but someone switched the gas for water. Those kind of scenes are at the end of the credits for a reason, it's so Movie geeks like me can get the thrill of seeing part of the movie no one else will ever see because they weren't patient enough to wait and see something cool. Also, the cut seemed forced, and broke the flow totally. It's like walking into work and your boss comes in wearing a clown suit and hits you in the face with a pie. I was ready to leave the theater feeling good about myself when this shit happened and ruined the whole thing for me, and all because some fucking whiny bastards wrote hate mail to Marvel and Universal Studios.
